I had my first (left) Knee replaced on Oct 20, 2008. Dr. Martin did the surgery and I was at Nash Joint Replacement Center for 4 days. My time in the hospital was as close to home as it possibly could have been. All of the people that I interfaced with were as kind and genuinely caring as possible. The therapist, the nurses, the assistants and the rest of the staff were there when you needed them and always had a smile on thier faces. My recovery and experience was so good that my second knee replacement (right) was scheduled for Dec 16, 2008. The first knee is well and I am progressing well on the second. Still in therapy with the second knee, it's only been 7 weeks with the right knee. Dr. Martin again was the doctor that did the surgery. I had the pleasure of seeing a lot of familiar faces on the floor and the care was just as before, outstanding from all the staff at Nash. My experience was a little different the second time around as I had a friend that was on the floor in a room just across from me, Mary Darkins. She was in for a hip replacement and Dr. Martin was her surgeon as well. Well we started out with a little competition in the distance of walking and this made the time go by quicker and we walked a lot further than we may have done on our own. Something to think about with others. I cannot say enough about the care I received both times at the Nash Joint Replacement Center and I have recommended you to others at my plant that are considering joint replacements. Thanks for ther care provided to me and others. It surely means a lot when you are in the hospital and in a time of need for good care and a friendly face. Albert L. Coe |
